Augmented reality

To support the teaching of Augmented Reality as a disruptive technology we have developed materials for teachers in the form of a Briefing and a Teaching Guide. These can be freely downloaded from the foot of this page.

Augmented reality (AR) is a live, direct or indirect view of a physical real-world environment through a screen, which may be embedded in goggles such as Microsoft’s HoloLens, whose elements are augmented (or supplemented) by computer generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or haptics.
